Paula Villescaz currently serves as Deputy Legislative Affairs Secretary in the Office of the Governor, advising on all policy matters related to health and human services, childcare, and immigration. She also served for three years as Assistant Secretary for the California Health and Human Services Agency, where she led statewide COVID-19 efforts and expanded access to health and human services programs. In addition, she has previously been Principal Consultant at the California State Assembly Health Committee and President of the Board of the San Juan Unified School District Board of Education.
