Kim Gannon, PhD's work involves policy analysis involving controlled substances and the people who use them, both medicinally and recreationally. She also studies the effect of incarceration and related social determinants on health outcomes. While trained as an economist, Kim's methods portfolio includes a wide array of quantitative and qualitative methods, including causal inference methods, survey experiments, and grounded theory. Her work has been sponsored by the Horowitz Foundation for Social Policy and the Yale Institution for Social and Policy Studies. Outside of work, Kim enjoys exercise, language learning, and volunteering for local and state harm reduction initiatives.
