Dr. Adams holds joint postdoctoral appointments at the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies (PRL-IHPS) and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Research Institute, where his mentor is Dominick Frosch, PhD. He received his MD from Dartmouth Medical School and PhD from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. Dr. Adams’ general areas of research interest are: (1) novel applications of technology to enhance patient and provider clinical decision-making, communication, knowledge, and satisfaction; and (2) health services research related to hematology/oncology and radiation/oncology. Current research includings: (1) “Decision making on the go: prostate cancer screening and treatment decision aid apps on mobile devices”; and (2) “Evaluation and acceleration of adoption of decision aids in clinical practice”.

Dr. Oresanya is a surgery resident at UCSF and a postdoctoral fellow in the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies (PRL-IHPS). He received his MD at Howard University. Dr. Oresanya’s general research interests are: (1) surgical outcomes research, and (2) global health policy. His current research focuses on outcomes of lower extremity revascularization in elderly nursing home residents. At IHPS, his primary mentor is Dr. Emily Finlayson, assistant professor of Surgery and Health policy at the Institute.

Dr. Ko holds joint postdoctoral appointments at the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies and the Division of General Internal Medicine. She received her MD from the UCLA/Drew Medical Education Program and PhD from the UCLA Department of Health Policy and Management. Her general areas of research interest are: (1) disparities health and healthcare; (2) healthcare safety net systems; (3) diversity and the health professions workforce. Her current research focuses on relationships between social structural factors, such as residential segregation and income inequality, and the infrastructure of the safety net.
