Dr. Holt is a social and behavioral scientist whose research portfolio is dedicated to identifying ways to promote equity and person-centeredness within the sexual and reproductive health field. Drawing on training in anthropology and public health, Dr. Holt deploys diverse methodological approaches in her research. She has partnered with researchers, advocates, and implementing partners across more than ten countries on projects to build the evidence base on people’s preferences for and experiences with reproductive healthcare; to develop new frameworks and measures to advance a focus on human rights and person-centeredness in sexual and reproductive health; and to develop and evaluate novel interventions to promote reproductive health and agency. Her current projects span Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda, and the United States.
