Medicare for all

Is it possible to have a health care system that's affordable and provides coverage for everyone in the US? In a recent JAMA Article, Andrew Bindman, MD, professor of medicine at UCSF’s Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies, discusses the choices that need to be made to help achieve quality care that benefits everyone. Medicare for all would have enormous implications for how health care is financed, but ensuring that primary care is the foundation of the US health care delivery system is what is needed to have a significant impact on the population’s health.
