IHPS Policy Series: Health Policy and Twitter: Social Media as a Career & Program Development Tool in Health Policy Research

Dr. Charlie M. Wray, DO, MS, FHM is an internist and health services researcher at the San Francisco VA Medical Center and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Francisco. Dr. Wray’s is a grant-funded researcher at the San Francisco VA where he studies virtual and digital-based care and its impact on quality and health outcomes.  

Additionally, Dr. Wray is the Deputy Digital Media Editor for the Journal of Hospital Medicine – where he established the use of Visual Abstracts and the Twitter-based journal club; JHMChat. Dr. Wray is also the Director of the JHM Editorial and Digital Media Fellowship programs. When not fulfilling these duties, Dr. Wray can often be found tweeting at @WrayCharles or trying to keep up with his two young boys.
