Nathalia Jimenez, MD, MPH, is Professor and Vice Chair for Equity Diversity and Inclusion for the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Health Systems and Population Health at the UW School for Public Health. She is a pediatric anesthesiologist and principal investigator at Seattle Children’s Research institute. Her research focus on health disparities and patient outcomes in Hispanic/Latinx children. Her NIH funded work have identified barriers and facilitators to access to care among Hispanic/Latinx children, and development and evaluation of culturally and linguistically concordant programs to bridge care between hospitals and community services. She is currently funded by an R01 from NICHD to test the efficacy of a behavioral bilingual program, in four different states, to bridge services for families of Latinx children with traumatic brain injury.
