Overview
Dr. Hatefi is a physician and public health specialist with interests in global health policy, governance, and financing. He serves as Public Health Medical Officer with the California Department of Public Health, and as Associate Clinical Professor at University of California San Francisco. He is a recognized subject matter expert on global health governance and health system strengthening, and has provided technical leadership or core contributions to multiple country-level technical assistance and operational engagements. Dr. Hatefi is primarily interested in the provision of global public health goods, particularly related to health system improvement, health in all policies, and health diplomacy and security.
